At Cactus Day Camp, we set high standards for our staff, knowing they are the cornerstone of a safe and memorable camp experience for your child. Our counselors are at least college-aged, with many pursuing or already established careers as teachers, coaches, and recreational leaders. We also have dedicated Junior Counselors—high school students who grew up as Cactus campers and bring experience working with children or expertise in camp activities.

All staff participate in an intensive five-day training, immersing themselves in the Cactus Day Camp philosophy and approach to working with children. Throughout the summer, they engage in additional training sessions to support their growth and strengthen our team.
